Tomorrow is the beginning of October, bringing with it the most pleasant season to be outdoors here in Japan. On October 5th and 6th, we will be sharing about the traditional Japanese culture of tea ceremony through the portable tea house Mujyoan. Come find us at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, the venue for the Greater Tokyo Festival Green Challenge Day.

As October begins, the sky is vast, the air feels dry, and the breeze is cool and pleasant. We host the most weddings during this month, and the garden becomes very popular with our guests.

This weekend, we will be at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden with our portable tea house Mujyoan for Greater Tokyo Festival Green Challenge Day. The theme of the event is “Connect and Support Our Forests, Rivers, and Ocean,” inviting participants to learn about nature and the environment through art performances, educational activities, and fresh food from all over Japan.

• Local citizens and high schoolers from Fukushima Prefecture will be sharing about what they love about their hometown.
• Well-known weather broadcasters will be on stage, along with Mr. Morita, a popular weather broadcaster from the TBS channel.
• Food booths will be selling freshly harvested autumn food from all across Japan.

Happo-en will be helping to host a large tea ceremony event entitled “A Reiwa Tea Ceremony for Everyone.” We look forward to our tea house, which blends in beautifully with the outdoor scenery, becoming one with the national garden. We are excited to welcome all our valued guests into the tea ceremony space.

As you can see, we are receiving increasing opportunities to assist at events outside of Happo-en, thanks to the diverse people we have met and are connected with.
