Connecting with Tokushima at Happo-en’s “MuSuBu”.

“Tokusho Department Store” is a popular event; which is organized by the students of

Tokushima Prefectural Commercial High School and boasts a history of more than 10 years.

However, for the first time in their long history, they have decided to host this year’s

event online on December 12th (Sat) and 13th (Sun) in response to Covid-19.

Happo-en; which has an academic collaboration agreement with Tokushima Prefectural Commercial High School,

began thinking of ways to support these students, especially after witnessing the student’s optimism and passion,

as they worked to create an online version of “Tokusho Department Store”.

In order to convey to the people of Tokyo how hard these students are working Happo-en will be holding

a real-life event ahead of the online event in December called,

“Tokusho Department Store- it’s always sunny above the clouds: Connecting with Tokushima” at Happo-en’s “MuSuBu” facility on November 14th (Sat) and 15th (Sun), 2020.

The students of Tokushima Commercial High School will participate online from Tokushima,

and the event will also be supported by Tokushima Prefecture Diversity Promotion Division as well as the Tokushima Prefecture Tokyo Headquarters.

This pop-up store will not only connect with the December online event “Tokusho Department Store”,

but will also help to promote and connect Tokushima Prefecture and Tokyo.

“Tokusho Department Store” is a trendy event that has been hosted for more than 10 years in Tokushima,

where students of Tokushima Commercial High School create, plan, develop,

and sell new products and services in cooperation with local communities and companies as a part of their curriculum.

Since Tokushima City registered as a member of the Host Town initiative,
