VEGETABLE LIFE
Naturally grown, organic, additive-free, and handmade. VEGETABLE LIFE is a delicatessen where you can enjoy the taste of vegetables grown in naturally without pesticides and fertilizers. We are trying to several initiatives for the future of the environment.
At VEGETABLE LIFE, our concept is to relay the power of nature, by using ingredients and containers that have been selected with the future environment in mind. For example, our paper napkin introduced at section 04, are made from recycling Itoen tea leaves. We also try to limit the amount of chopsticks and provide drinks you can drink without the use of a straw, as a means to use as little plastic as possible.
We also use naturally grown vegetables from producers as introduced in section 02 as we aim to contribute to the welfare sector as well as the environment.
- Naturally and Organically Grown Vegetables
- The ingredients themselves have a strong individuality of flavor and are carefully selected to match the season. This lunch plate featured left uses carrots from Akashi Farm in Saitama, beets and daikon radish from Shibakai Farm in Chiba, spring onions from Megumi Farm in Aichi, and tomatoes from Hoshi no Shizuku in Tokushima.
- Natural Tableware
- Our tableware is from Australian tableware brand EcoSouLife which is 100% naturally derived materials such as corn starch, rice husks and bamboo fiber. The end result is an environmentally friendly item that returns to the soil. So when you choose takeout, we provide it in paper containers that have a low environmental impact.
- Paper Napkins Made from Recycled Tea Leaves
- We use paper napkins created by a recycling system that uses the tea leaves leftover from ITO EN’s tea production process.

Happoen's first delicatessen opened in 2018 in the Yukashinomori complex in Shirokanedai, Minato-ku. Enjoy naturally grown, organic, additive-free, and hand-crafted meals in store or takeout.
