Maintaining Peace of Mind

The Happo-en Group's mission is to provide our Japanese customers with a place that is dear to their hearts and for our international customers a place to experience Japanese culture.

For 77 years since its establishment, Happo-en, with its Japanese garden, has been a place where one can truly spend time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Based on the spirit we have cultivated since our founding, we strive to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus. Through our newly established support system for our customers, employees, partner companies, and all visiting families, can enjoy their time at Happo-en with peace of mind.

We are constantly strengthening our hygiene management by thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting our facilities. In addition, we have strengthened our prevention of contact and droplet transmission in our facilities so that we can safely welcome everyone.

Measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases

Measures Regarding Hygiene

Staff members temperatures are monitored daily. If someone with a fever of 37.5 degrees or higher, the Happo-en Hygiene Management Team will take immediate action and provide support.

Staff members are required to wear masks at all times for the safety of our customers and public health.

Staff uniforms are kept clean. To ensure our overall cleanliness, we provide laundry service frequently.

Staff members wash their hands for 30 seconds using soapy water and a povidone iodine hand wash solution under the guidance of the Happo-en hygiene management team.

Paper towels are available for staff and customers to use after washing their hands.

Cleaning agents containing cleaning agents such as bleach are used to thoroughly clean the premises.

The lavatories for staff and customers are thoroughly cleaned. All door knobs, faucets, and sinks are disinfected every hour. We kindly ask everyone to close the toilet lid and flush after each use.

Areas that may be touched by an unspecified number of people (door knobs, handrails, etc. in the restrooms) are wiped down and cleaned with alcohol (ethanol) disinfectant every hour.

The building is ventilated every hour for 10 minutes.

Garbage that has been contaminated with mucus, saliva, etc. should be disposed in the plastic bags that are available in the restrooms and sealed tightly. Garbage collection staff wearing masks and gloves will collect and dispose.

Weddings

Prior to entry, all tables and chairs that are to used by guests are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Happoen's wedding venue is setup so that guests will face each other. Guests will be guided to seats that have a one-meter gap between each person.

For those who have a meeting in a waiting room or the lobby will be guided to avoid large crowds.

As a rule, the opening and closing of the doors will be performed by staff who are wearing gloves.

Banquets ・ Restaurants ・ Shops

Before entering any restaurant or starting a banquet, all tables and chairs that are to be used by guests will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

Before and after each use, all ceramic silverware that is to be used by our customers undergoes a thorough cleaning and disinfected.

In our restaurants, we leave at least one meter between tables in order to maintain a safe distance between our customers.

Customers that would prefer a long table setup, we propose an alternating seating arrangement that allows you to face each but maintain a safe distance.

Before any meal, sterilizing hand towels will be provided.

For the time being we will no longer serve food in a buffet style. Dishes will be served individually on a plate with a lid.

Condiments (sugar, milk, etc.) are no longer served in sharable containers, but served individually.

Cash trays will be used when accepting cash at the time of checkout. We also encourage the use of cashless payment types.

For meetings with our clients, we use a 3D showcase video or conduct real-time online tours of our venues.

Please note that we will be conducting a non-contact temperature test for visitors to our establishment.

Please use the alcohol (ethanol) disinfectant provided when entering and exiting the establishment, especially after touching any object or surfaces.

When dining in our restaurants or during a banquet, please refrain from pouring drinks and passing of cups or bottles of alcohol.
